Whitehead could be the number one cornerback in his class in the entire country by the time his prep career is over, and checks into our initial 2027 rankings as the top overall player in California, grabbing that number one spot. He currently holds offers already from 12 power five schools from the likes of Oregon, Washington, USC, Auburn, Nebraska, Miami, Florida and Arizona, among others. He has elite length and range for the corner position at already 6’1 and change, and is a tremendous athlete with fluid hips, active feet in his pedal and elite ball skills with return abilities while excelling in both man and zone coverage. Whitehead is a very twitchy athlete that plays with disciplined eyes and hands near the LOS, while able to win against bigger receivers downfield and can anticipate throws/jump routes in a hurry. He shows he has a good feel of when to break to the ball, is always making big plays near the ball and is not afraid to get into the run mix near the LOS as well.

Whitehead had over 40 tackles and an interception as a freshman last season. He had a good showing at the All-American combine last week.
