Tall, projectable frame at 6’3”/185 with plus athleticism that jumps off the screen — 4.46 forty, 4.2 shuttle, 39” vertical are legit two-sport numbers. Kid plays with poise in the pocket and shows easy arm talent on the move. Basketball background shows up in his short-area quickness and body control when he tucks and runs; he’s not just a pocket passer. Footwork is clean, progressions are developing, and he keeps his eyes downfield. Still needs to add good weight and tighten the lower half, but the tools are D1 starter caliber with the basketball explosiveness already there. High-upside prospect who’ll only get better once he fills out.

Jones missed much of last season with an injury but still completed 80 percent of his passes for 181 yards per game with eight touchdowns and just one interception.
He is a high-upside guy with a ton of arm talent and can fire the ball into tight spaces. Jones has over 30 offers including Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Utah among others.

Jones suffered an injury last season and only played in four games but was very effective. He completed 80 percent of his passes for 181 yards per game with eight touchdowns and just one interception.

Jones played WR as a freshman but is projected and being recruited as a QB at the college level. At 6’2” 165 lbs. he’s got plus athleticism and pocket mobility to feel and avoid pressure. He gets the ball out on time with a quick over the top delivery. Does a good job anticipating and throwing his receivers open to allow them to run after the catch. Can throw on the run to either direction while maintaining accuracy and velocity throwing from various platforms.

Jones really impressed me at the Air Strike passing tournament in May. He’s put on some serious size and led the Saints to a championship that day. He has offers from LSU, Auburn and others.
