Mack made the biggest jump of any prospect in the recent 2027 rankings update moving to #21 overall and is the ninth ranked DB in a loaded positional group. 6’3” 160 lbs. with an 80 inch wingspan he brings rare length and physical tools to the position with room to add mass. His size gives him a natural advantage in coverage, where he uses length to be physical to disrupt timing and reroute receivers. Despite his tall build, he moves fluidly with smooth hips and solid short-area quickness allowing him to stay in phase with receivers and break on the ball with speed. His wingspan and leaping ability make him a tough matchup in contested catch situations, especially in jump ball situations. He shows strong instincts in both man and zone coverage, reading routes well and showing patience in his transitions. Excellent natural ball skills and judgement ability. Recruitment shot up in the spring now holding 17 D1 offers.

I didn’t get to watch Mack a ton during the individual drills but he won every one-on-one rep I saw him take. He is lengthy and will be even more dangerous when he adds a little muscle and gets more reps as a defensive back.

Mack is a smooth athlete who looked natural doing everything in the individual drills. He plays receiver also which helped him during the one-on-one period anticipate routes that were coming. Mack has length and is aggressive playing the ball during 50/50 balls.

Mack is going to be one of the more sought after defensive back prospects on the west coast over the next 18 months, and is a no brainer high level power four corner with elite length and upside and should be a national recruit. At 6’3 and change, he is extremely long and rangy while a fluid athlete with exceptional cover abilities downfield, twitch when triggering and is outstanding in run support. Mack shows elite ball skills, hip fluidity in transition and covers a ton of ground with long strides and recovery length. He has seen his recruitment blowup in recent weeks, picking up offers from Cal, Texas A&M, Miami, Sacramento State and Arizona.
