Jabari Watkins Jabari Watkins 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Thomas County Central | 2027 State GA is a very talented wide receiver from the state of Georgia. He plays for one of the better teams in the state and will be one of the best playmakers for this team. He has all the talent in the world and is a physical threat. I believe he has the chance to finish as one of the top names at the position in the country, and he will be one to watch as he and his team push for another state championship.

A speedy, explosive wideout in South Georgia coming off an outstanding junior season, Watkins is a dangerous pass-catcher for a Thomas County Central team that went undefeated once again in 2025. He was a major weapon in the passing game and a threat to score any time he had the ball. Ranked as the No. 6 WR prospect in Georgia for the 2027 class, Watkins has a lean frame, strong hands, and the ability to elude defenders after the catch. He hauled in a team-leading 55 passes this fall for 847 yards and 11 touchdowns. He’s one of the top 2027 wideouts in Georgia and earned a new offer this week from the UCLA Bruins.

Watkins is one of the premier 2027 receivers in Georgia and is leading the charge on the outside for Thomas County. You have to love the size/speed profile at 6’2 185. He is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands. He powers through the top of his route, and will improve as his footwork develops. He is a trusted player above the rim, consistently targeted on fades. He not only offers a big catch radius, but he times his jumps well and has good hands/body control in the air to reel in the ball. Watkins holds major P4 offers.

Another playmaking South Georgia wideout with reliable hands and breakaway speed, Watkins was a go-to option and major weapon last season for the one of the top programs in South Georgia. He brings good size at 6-foot-2 185-pounds and runs really well for his size. He’s tough to tackle and brings plenty of speed to the table. He’s great after the catch and lit up the stat sheet last year as he caught 42 passes for 832 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s one of the top returning 2027 prospects in the area who should be even better and a junior this upcoming season. He’s now ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 51 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

Jabari Watkins Jabari Watkins 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Thomas County Central | 2027 State GA is already one of the top 2027 WRs in Georgia and is still raising his stock. Watkins makes the game look easy and is simply impossible to guard one-on-one due to his elite speed and acceleration. He is a long strider, allowing him to eliminate cushion in a few steps and trot away from defenders when given a lane to run with the ball. He has the size to play inside-out, but I see him as a seam-shot player in the shot who will rely on his speed, long strides, and deception to settle into soft spots of the defense and take the top off. Watkins holds major P4 offers.

A twitchy wideout and an impressive route-runner for his age, Watkins is one of the top 2027 wide receivers in South Georgia and showed the ability to pick up big yards after the catch. He can change directions well, shows strong hands when hauling in a tough catch, and shows enough lower body strength to break tackles after the catch. He runs well and still brings a lean 6-foot-2 16-5pound frame that should allow him to continue adding more muscle and mass over the next nine eight months. He caught 42 passes last fall as a sophomore for 832 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s now added recent offers from Cal, South Florida, East Carolina, among others.

A promising South Georgia receiver to know about down at powerhouse Thomas County Central, Watkins is a crisp runner who can get open and snag the ball out of the air with ease. He brings a lean frame to the table at close to 6-foot-2 and 180-pounds, so he brings easy size along with natural ball skills. He flashes easy Power Four potential and is off to a strong junior season this fall. Ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 6 WR prospect and the No. 47 overall prospect in the state, Watkins has caught 15 passes 293 yards and three touchdowns. His best game came against Cairo where he hauled in four passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a big-play threat on the verge of a massive sophomore season this year. If he does, and can help lead the Yellow Jackets to another state title, Watkins should see some impressive offers come his way down the road.
