Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A big-time sophomore running back from South Georgia that we’ve written about before, McNeil was a big-play machine for Thomas County Central this year on the ground as he averaged an eye-opening 9.6 yards per carry as the No. 2 back. He rushed for 566 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 59 carries. With Lawrence gone, look for McNeil to have an even bigger junior season in 2026. The talented 5-foot-11 185-pounder had a big week as he earned offers from Duke, App State and Miami (OH). Look for more offers to come his way along with a bump in the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings.
