That writing has been on the wall since last summer, when I got my live evaluation of Griffin and heard from numerous college coaches that he certainly has the Division I ceiling out of Minot. Griffin showed off the ideal fit for the Division I level with his testing numbers, and show how elusive he shows to be playing at a well-built 6’0 220 pounds as a junior. He also on tape pops out heavily getting yards after contact which you would expect, but it is the explosive lower body traits after getting out of a jam is what will impressive Division I coaches at the next level. This young man’s time is coming very soon for his first D1 offer. Twitter

The durability at the running back position that Griffin brings has to be the best in the state in this class by far as plenty of teams have struggled these first few weeks bringing this 6’0 220 pound running back to the turf. He has shown growth thru four weeks in my eyes with growing his balance, body control and being able to use it to his full advantage even as a pass-catcher that runs like a bull getting downhill. Griffin has also grown from last evaluation with his agility, as this young man has gotten swiftly instinctive on his cuts as his football IQ and skillsets lead him as the #1 running back in North Dakota and moved up five spots to #7 overall in our rankings. Certainly has Division I football in his future. Twitter

. Griffin was one of very few prospects that exceeded my eye test, as he came in 10-15 pounds strong then off my first read of his tape when the 2025 rankings came out and still came out in the low 4.7s with his 40-yard dash and showed off some twitch with his pro agility as well from the reps I caught in Griffin’s testing session he did. Griffin also showed off in Indy Drills that he has the body that can take plenty of contact at 5’11.5 216 pounds, as Griffin showed plenty of churn in his lower body when he had linebackers at his ankles last Saturday. As a bigger big with lots of power from top to bottom, I would love to see Griffin develop more in the coming years as a pass-blocker as I thought from watching him in reps, that was his skillset with the biggest upside in the coming years.
