This group has a heavy plethora of North Dakota, Iowa and border of Minnesota prospects that certainly passed the eye test with their intangibles and athlete skillsets they showed off in Grand Forks. Let’s meet our Part IV standouts!
Once the afternoon session started at the UND Flagship Camp, I knew I had get my first glimpses at our RB1 in North Dakota’s 2025 class in Minot’s Griffin Broderick Griffin Broderick 6’0″ | 220 lbs | RB Minot | 2025 State ND . Griffin was one of very few prospects that exceeded my eye test, as he came in 10-15 pounds strong then off my first read of his tape when the 2025 rankings came out and still came out in the low 4.7s with his 40-yard dash and showed off some twitch with his pro agility as well from the reps I caught in Griffin’s testing session he did. Griffin also showed off in Indy Drills that he has the body that can take plenty of contact at 5’11.5 216 pounds, as Griffin showed plenty of churn in his lower body when he had linebackers at his ankles last Saturday. As a bigger big with lots of power from top to bottom, I would love to see Griffin develop more in the coming years as a pass-blocker as I thought from watching him in reps, that was his skillset with the biggest upside in the coming years. Savion did not waste any time whatsoever showing off the accelerator I have seen Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase after showcase for the last year or so, as his mid 4.4 40 yard dash time enlighten a lot of college coaches in Grand Forks last Saturday, as Savion was not done showing off his talents from just testing either. He also showed off from my eyes was one of the most electric pass-catchers from the running back position and one that showed off all of his agility getting off the linebacker and showing off how competitive he was with his route-running. Savion also continued to show how instinctive he has become as he shows each time there is more growth with his football IQ with how much instinction this young man runs within the backfield. Savion has been a hot commodity at the FCS level in recent weeks as this young man has shown off as a late FCS bloomer this July that has finally gotten the exposure he deserves based on how catchy and appealing his tape and performances at other showcases has been. Wyatt impressed me with his fluidity level in his testing session at the UND Flagship Camp as I see Wyatt as a prospect that testing numbers don’t do the full justice of how much game-speed this young man actually has. He showed off with his hand-level an outside linebacker with good and developing upside with his shedding ability and a linebacker that can carry his range from sideline to sideline however with that fluid base, Wyatt can shut the run down with how strong his running motor shows off. Wyatt is also a OLB prospect with a high football IQ as you can see on tape this young man is well-tuned in with his positioning to the ball and showed how he can move just a step or two to get himself in prime position in either run and especially in pass coverage. At 6’2 210 pounds, Wyatt certainly is well under the radar in my eyes, as he could be a 2024 late summer steal for some Dakotas or Minnesota NSIC program in my eyes. Twitter
When I watched Zach at the UND Flagship camp, I saw a prospect that showed off plenty of explosion from his release with his first steps whether that was in testing or getting into Indy Drills. He ran an intriguing 4.6 40 yard dash and had a broad jump over 9 feet that enticed my interest as well as a 6’0 190 pound linebacker out of the hotbed of Dowling Catholic. He shows off an intriguing vision for the linebacker position as he has a fluid base of athletic movement that proceeds downhill well as a chasing linebacker. On tape, he intrigues me most as an athlete at the next-level as what shows off a three way prospect and shows off really smooth open field football IQ and good balance with his catch radius as a wide receiver. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Zach intriguing the next-level on either side of the ball as he’s hit a sizable growth spurt recently. Twitter

Drew was a first look prospect out of Devils Lake, ND that I got my first eyes on last Saturday at the UND Flagship Camp. The most intriguing number from testing from Drew was his mid 9 foot broad jump and tested around 4.5 and mid 4.7s in his pro agility and 40 yard dash. I certainly believe his ball-tracking skills I saw in Grand Forks translate best to defensive back as Drew is shows off on tape an instinctive cornerback that is quick to react to the ball incoming. He needs to develop more turn in getting his body around with his ball-tracking but that football IQ Drew shows out on tape will certainly assist his development. I certainly think Drew could be a solid NSIC fit for the local North Dakota schools in the NSIC. Twitter
Nicholas was a name I heard a handful of times at the UND Flagship Camp from the college coaches around me evaluating, as especially when you run inside a 4.6 40 yard dash at almost 6’2 190 pounds, he certainly raised his recruiting trail in Grand Forks last weekend. He showed off a ton of intuition with how well he moved with his change of direction in my eyes. Nicholas also showed off a ton of quick release in his later reps from UND, as he showed off catchy hands that could engage quickly upfield even within some high traffic areas. No matter where he lines up on tape that consistency you see with his instincts on both sides of the ball with great attention to detail with his versatility. A prospect that is way more under the radar than he should and by getting those verified testing numbers with his size at UND, I expect this kid’s recruitment to sky rocket in the coming months into fall. Sam was an intriguing wide receiver that I got to watch last fall at Fargo Shanley and one that caught my eyes again up at at the UND Flagship Camp. Sam has certainly gotten more persistent with developing his change of direction to be even more eye appealing, as he certainly showed that this young man has a strong work ethic to better his game from just over 6-8 months ago. I always look at consistency between reps #1 and #2 from wide receivers in the 40-yard dash, and Sam certainly checked off that box from his straight line speed on Saturday. Sam’s efficiency around the edges of the field with his yards after contact is certainly should catch college coaches eyes, as a long-striding slot receiver at the next-level. A first team All-State WR in 2022, I have to say Sam is a prospect on this list I am extremely surprised doesn’t have an offer yet, as he would for sure be in my “offer now” category as a college recruiter. It seems to be the case almost every year I scout a camp in North Dakota that I find an under the radar athlete from the Moorhead Spuds and this time last weekend at UND that was 2025 athlete Reign Battle Reign Battle 6’1″ | 210 lbs | LB Moorhead | 2025 State MN . Reign logged one of the top triple jumps I saw amongst the skill positions and certainly in every rep I caught out of him, the fluidity of his reps flew out with his agile change of direction. You won’t find too many reps from the position Reign played on Saturday in Grand Forks (WR) however this kid’s launching quick trigger with getting to the ball has some tenacious physicality to it, consistently driving back a plethora of ball carriers all over the football field. He certainly showed off a prospect that stock-rose his skillsets during the postseason for the Spuds and is one that is trending that way as well this summer with his camp performance at UND as a 2025 prospect to watch out of Moorhead.
