Shoutout to MNHSFBNetwork for telling me to watch Minnetonka freshman and bib #31 Grant Klein Grant Klein 5'10" | 150 lbs | QB/LB Minnetonka | 2029 MN during routes on air near the end of the 612Q’s Offensive Skills Camp. Klein was more than worth the watch, and with the recent trend of high-quality quarterbacks to come out of the former Classic Lake competitor, as well as their tradition of highly-effective prep and collegiate QBs, it’s hard not to get excited about the young freshman here. With a tall, broad-shouldered frame that Klein said was measuring in at 170 pounds, the 2029 is sporting a great frame with some already noticeable muscular definition, poise, and oh yeah, arm talent. Klein also mentioned his busy and accomplished baseball background, which more than successfully showed up when throwing the pigskin, and Klein displayed big-time command and ball placement ability, not just for his age, but overall and when compared to some upperclassmen competitors at the event. Make sure you check the velocity, arm strength, and accuracy boxes on this young gunslinger as well, and although the ball can come in a little high on some of his shorter throws, there’s obvious arm talent and developmental upside in this young Skipper. Remember the name!
