The reported 6’3, 220 lber. finished his junior campaign with 120 tackles, and Augustyn finished his Week 1 team victory over East Ridge with 10 total tackles, tied for second in the state through Week 1.

No film for the future Redbirds’ LB, but Augustyn is big, physical, has a nose for the football, and never takes his foot off the gas. Next evolution of an impressive and distinguished Minnetonka LB line of prospects, especially as of late. Can’t wait to see this D1 LB commit’s condensed film in a few short weeks.

A big piece of Minnetonka’s 2026 roster and the heart and backbone of the Skippers‘ defense going into the season. One of the best LBs in the state and is taking his talents to Illinois State to play his college football in the heavyweight Missouri Valley. Long, rangy, hammer at the contact point, and a good nose for the football and can sniff out plays before they develop. Lived in opponents’ backfields in 2025 as a junior off-ball ‘backer and is a tough combination of speed, size, and strength for OL and would-be blockers to try and corral. Should be a monster senior season for the Skippers‘ LB1.

Augustyn recorded 119 total tackles, 14 TFLs, 2 sacks, 3 passes defended, and a forced fumble in 2025. An explosive and confident leader for the Skippers’ defense, Augustyn’s jarring hit power and his knack for plugging up open gaps on the OL made him a steady enforcer in the run-game, giving very little leeway for RBs to scamper around him, and once he gets his hands on the ball-carrier, there was no getting through him. The Redbirds got a good one, and Augustyn will look to round out his high school career by guiding Minnetonka to a 6A title.
