The pleasant surprise and darkhorse performance of the DL group came out of Minnetonka’s Pierce Fogarty Pierce Fogarty 5'11" | 215 lbs | DL Minnetonka | 2027 MN . A 2027 DL we’re quite familiar with thanks to LineofScrimmage training & consulting, Fogarty looks noticeably beefier than the last time we saw him, adding good weight and even more explosiveness to his 5’10+, 217 lb. frame. Fogarty put on a clinic during 1v1s, playing with outstanding twitch and an explosive get-off that was seemingly unstoppable at the PJ Fleck RTB Camp. Good angles, good hand usage, powerful at initial contact, and nonstop, balls-to-the-wall hustle + effort. Fogarty even beat some of the Top Performing overall OL prospects in attendance in pass-rush settings fully padded. Only two tackles in 2025, so it could be quite the breakout season for Fogarty in 2026 with the Skippers.

It seems to be the case that in a live eval setting, Pierce always seems to crack my board of standouts which was the case at the Minnesota camp yesterday. The 5’9 217 pounder from Minnetonka has shown a workhorse mentality in the defensive trenches that despite being undersized, his high motor will make up the difference which was again the case at the Gopher camp on Tuesday night. He utilized his grinder type hands to get off blocks and get to the point of attack from what I watched as another off-field skillset I like about Pierce, is this kid seems to always be a motitvator with the DL group, which I saw clearly in Dinkytown last night. He was a perfect 7/7 in pass rush drills and 4/4 on board drills too as Pierce’s finishing hands and pad level will surely get him more Saturday attention after last night’s eval.

One of the most sound defensive linemen from a technique perspect hailed from Minnetonka’s Pierce Fogarty Pierce Fogarty 5'11" | 215 lbs | DL Minnetonka | 2027 MN in Saturday’s session of the Line of Scrimmage Big Dawgs Camp in Eagan. Pierce might have been one of the more undersized defensive linemen in the DL group, but man was he progressive with his instincts in the reps I watched and no doubt, those instincts overtake the frame he has. Pierce showed off intriguing balance too in the reps I watched going up against bigger competition when he engaged and that balance was also pure with his pursuit angles. This kid also plays with one heck of a wirey motor too and took Defensive MVP honors at camp end on Sunday. Surely one to watch for the Skippers in the defensive trenches entering his junior season in 6A with also an intriguing track background.
