Montoya uses his big frame to win contested catches and create big blocks in the run game. Very good release against press jam, using his physicality to win at the LOS. Good separation quickness due to mental processing and play strength. Fights through contact during the route, or will find an open void and sit patiently. Good ball tracking and very good catching. Extends his lengthy arms and plucks the ball out of the air. Very good blocker. Uses his very good strength and hand placement to control DBs or LBs with ease. Very aggressive to win the block.
