Montoya is a big body receiver measuring in at 6’3 205-pounds. This past season, he had 34 receptions for 732 yards for 7 touchdowns. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. Very good release against both off coverage and press jam. He consistently beats DBs at the line of scrimmage. Montoya has fluid route running skills and has very good separation quickness. Does a great job on contested catches with his frame and jumping. Very good ball tracking and catching skills. After the catch, he’ll use his strength to run through defenders. He’s also a fantastic blocker. Montoya locks out LBs or DBs and creates running lanes for his backs. He has all the tools to reach that thousand-yard mark, and I believe he will cross it next season.
