Darby used his very good athletic ability to make an impact at the showcase. He has the fastest 40-yard time amongst linebackers. T-1st in wingspan, and has the longest broad jump. Darby has very good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. His speed translated to the drills as well. His quick burst of acceleration and good mental processing put Darby in the position to make plays. When tackling, he gets himself low and tackles the center of gravity. He was all over the running backs during drills being a constant thorn in their side.
