Bertram is one of the Giants’ best defenders, showing ability to chase down ballcarriers and above-average edge speed to sack quarterbacks. He can cover a lot of ground with his long, athletic, 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame, and from his post at outside linebacker he can set an edge as well as anybody, allowing interior DLs to clean up the play.

Frank Bertram Frank Bertram 6'2" | 215 lbs | DL Ben Davis | 2025 State IN is a dynamic defensive end known for his ability to collapse the pocket and disrupt plays with his quickness off the ball. Frank excels at collapsing the pocket with his pass-rushing ability off the edge. His speed and technique allow him to put consistent pressure on the quarterback, making him a disruptive force in passing situations. He wins the line of scrimmage with his explosive quickness off the snap. Frank demonstrates excellent awareness and recognition of plays developing in the backfield. He is effective in attacking run blocks and shedding them to make tackles. His physicality and technique help him maintain leverage and control against the run, allowing him to plug gaps and stop ball carriers.

I remember back when he was a freshman, Bertram won the MVP from the Winter Showcase. Since then, there has been alot of excitement around Bertram and what he could be. Since then, he’s developed on and off the field. Saturday was a great showing off that and the progress he’s made. Not just with his physical frame, but his play on the field has grown so much. He’s put weight on, clearly been in the weight room, and watching tape. He’s violent at the point of attack and does a good job using his hands to break free from the OL. He’s then got the ability to drop back into coverage and play LB. Where Bertram is in his development is promising and I’m excited to see where he ends up next year.
