Elijah Espinoza Elijah Espinoza 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Liberty | 2025 State NV has some impeccable form for Liberty. With a fast release that lets go of a nice-looking and very catchable ball, both his lower and upper half move in harmony. What truly stood out most about watching Espinoza’s film was his willingness to stand in there and take a big hit while still making sure to deliver an accurate ball. Not the most athletic quarterback, he knows he’s not always going to be able to escape the rush, but he can beat it by getting rid of the ball fast enough. In order to consistently do that throughout an entire season, Espinoza is going to have to be a mentally and physically tough quarterback. A player with his combination of grit and brains is a player coaches should be putting on their big boards.

Espinoza looks to take over as QB1 for Liberty’s offense in the fall after waiting behind two-year starter, Tyrese Smith (Portland St.). The 6’1”/190 QB has shown promising flashes in his natural arm strength, quick release, and ball placement up to this point. His ball has noticeable zip coming out of the hand and moves around the pocket with light, active feet. Espinoza- who just picked up his first offer from D-II Minnesota Duluth- could be a major stock-riser in his first full year as a starter.

Espinoza was big time player for Las Vegas High School in 2022 as a sophomore. After transferring to Liberty HS last season Espinoza looks to get back on the map in his senior campaign. Espinoza has great accuracy and in game decision making.

According to his Hudl account, Elijah is currently attending Liberty High School. Regardless of where he is enrolled, watch out for the good-sized QB’s recruitment to heat up during his junior year.
Elijah’s anticipation shows leading receivers on post routes and timing his lofts perfectly into the back corner of the endzone. Coaches like Elijah’s displays of mobility, but good poise and decision-making shows keeping his eyes downfield even after he gets knocked off of his spot.
