Though undersized, Griego makes up for it with impressive athleticism, quick-twitch movement, and the arm talent to stretch the field. He throws well on the run, shows creativity outside the pocket, and has the speed to hurt defenses with his legs when plays break down. The junior QB has been performing at a high level for Liberty HS this season as QB1. Griego shows the ability to make big plays in the air and on the ground. On Friday, Griego helped lead the Liberty Patriots to a dominant 33-0 win over Kailua from Hawaii. Griego threw for over 200 yards and ran for over 60 with a passing TD as well as a rushing TD.

Griego has been putting his name on the Vegas radar with strong performances on the offseason circuit as of late. He figures to fit into the starting QB equation for Liberty this fall and has impressed our Nevada scouts with his natural arm talent and ability to distribute to every area of the field. He’s undersized at this stage but should see his recruiting stock rise signficantly as he continues to grow and develop heading into his junior season. Griego debuts as a top-70 recruit and the #4-QB in his class in PRZ NV’s latest 2027 rankings.
