Murray, lined up on the inside across from the Center-Guards, where he had a solid impact for the Crusaders against the Friars.
I liked his strength in this game. The Senior DL, had a great first step, and seemed to control the LOS. He had solid hands throughout the game, and crashed the line on multiple occasions forcing the RB/QB out of the pocket or towards the outside. His game might not show in the stat sheet, but on tape, he is a major impact player.

The 6’1″ 285-Pound prospect, displays a solid build for a defensive lineman. Murray picked up an offer from Wagner over the summer, and showcased his talent throughout camps.
On tape, he displays a good motor, and is a physical pass rusher. Despite his size, he is quick to get off the line, and has a good understanding of how to close holes. His hands are excellent, and he has a quick first step, that allows him to meet the OL at the POA with force.
Murray is a cornerstone for the Stepinac Defense, he has already impressed in the stat sheet this season, as he has accumulated 6 QB hurries, 1.5 Sacks, and 10 total tackles in three games this season.

Murray already picked up his first Division I offer from Wagner earlier in the summer. He put together a strong junior season, showing incredible flashes against some of the top teams in the Catholic league. Murray is a smart player with a high motor. Every time he’s on the field, he is relentless, proving to be a great pass rusher at 6-foot-1 and 285 pounds — though he’s longer and more athletic than many expect. Murray will be the leader of the Crusaders’ defensive line this season.

Murray came into the season with some hype – I could not see him live this year but should at some point during camp season to get eyes on his actual size/build. On tape, I think he is still a raw DT prospect, but he shows some good movement skills, especially in his get-off and ability to get upfield. He is quicker off the LOS than many DTs around the 280 range. He plays some nose tackle, but I think his skill set is better at 3-tech, and he could do some good work from as far out as a 5-tech. The athleticism stands out on tape, and it’s a good start – I will be looking for continued improvement in his hand placement and ability to shed blocks through the camp season and next fall.

. At 6’1 285 he has a similar build to former Crusader and Wake Forest commit Kadear Dembele and with the prospective amount of playing time for Murray he could standout as the leader of the Stepinac DL group.
