About Devin
Expert Analysis
Marcus Henry | Prep Redzone Scout
Sanchez has a long, lean athletic frame, he has violent hands at the point of attack that enable him to get hands on his opponents early to redirect their routes and his extended reach allows him to play the passing lanes aggressively shutting down open lanes. Devin has superb, clean footwork, he transitions into his backpedal smoothly, Sanchez has oily hips that enable him to flip, turn and run with receivers in coverage staying locked in at the hip. Sanchez plays the run aggressively under control and he closes on the ball carrier with violent intentions. Devin has the “Star Power” that college programs covet in shutdown cornerbacks. Sanchez was a key contributor a North Shore defense that returned to the 6A Division I Championship versus Duncanville in 2022 but came short in 28-21 battle. LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio State are on the double digit list of suitors who are high on Sanchez making him one of the top players in Texas regardless of position.

Sanchez has a long, lean, athletic frame that enables him to shut down one half of the field and teams have learned to throw in the other direction. He gets into his back pedal smoothly, he has fluid hips and his ability to turn, cut, run and stay engaged in coverage allows him to blanket receivers. Devin has high level on ball production, he has excellent ball skills and plays with a ball hawk mentality. When the ball is in his vicinity, he attacks the football and lays claim to the ball aggressively. At the point of attack in press coverage, he uses his long reach to get hands on receivers early and reroute them off their axis routinely. At six-foot two, Sanchez has the build and frame that college programs seek for next level defensive backs. His Star Power, has lead to double digit offers from schools around the country.

, if you haven’t heard of him. Only a sophomore, he already understands how to use his body as a weapon. A lot of bigger corners rely too much on their size, so dealing with smaller shiftier receivers becomes a problem. Sanchez footwork is quick. He is able to stay square with receivers, then use his frame to force them to the sideline. He is a physical player too, welcoming contact whenever it comes to his side. Never too antsy, he was patient and never handsy. He made the game sealing interception! Sanchez has a couple more years to get in the weight room and play bigger, faster players. He may leave North Shore as one of the most polished recruits to leave that program!
