Kaleb brings a polished, college-ready presence to the field, and it shows why he’s earned that Utah State commitment. He’s a steady operator who understands how to control a game with his decision-making and rhythm. His footwork is clean, helping him get the ball out on time and stay in sync with his receivers, and he’s at his best when dissecting a defense pre-snap and attacking the matchup he wants. Kaleb throws with confidence — firm when he needs to drive a pass between defenders and smooth when he wants to drop one over the top. What really separates him is his composure: pressure never rattles him. He stands tall, keeps his mechanics tight, and finds ways to deliver accurate throws in tough situations. He also brings mobility, sliding around the pocket to create better angles and extending plays when needed. Kaleb’s combination of preparation, timing, and leadership makes him the type of quarterback who consistently elevates an offense and gives his team belief every time he takes the field.

Another familiar face, Maryland continues to prove to be, as I believe it, one of the more underrated QBs in the country. The Mustangs’ signal caller has been on fire to start the season and led them to a big bounce-back win last week. Displaying his great touch on deep balls, poise in the pocket, and ability to create with his legs, Kaleb compiled 278 total yards and 4 TDs in just 3 quarters. The Utah State commit has a fluid but dynamic style to his play and will continue to lead North Shore to title hopes in his last go-around.

Maryland displayed why he is one of the highly recruited quarterbacks in the state. With a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his legs, he kept the North Shore offense moving throughout the night. His poise in the pocket, decision-making under pressure, and toughness stood out as he delivered timely throws and created opportunities for his playmakers. Maryland’s leadership and playmaking ability will make him the centerpiece of North Shore’s attack this season.

Caleb Maryland was nothing short of electric, putting together one of the most complete quarterback performances of the week. He lit up the air with 302 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, showing his ability to stretch the field and deliver strikes to his playmakers. But he wasn’t done there — Caleb also used his legs to dominate on the ground, rushing for 170 yards and punching in 2 more scores. Even with 1 interception, he never lost confidence and continued to keep his team rolling. A true dual-threat, Caleb proved he can take over a game in multiple ways and will be a name to watch all season.

Maryland is an electric leader at the helm, with 4.4 speed and pristine passing ability. The Mustangs’ signal caller launches balls into tight windows with great touch at all levels of the field. Kaleb also excels at eluding pressure in the pocket while shifting his feet and arm angles to make special plays downfield. Additionally, Maryland is an absolute weapon in the run game, dominating in option concepts. He is also incredibly valuable with the ability to extend broken plays and accelerate out of the backfield. After compiling a thousand total yards and 9 touchdowns in 2024, expect Kaleb to explode onto another level this season as he seeks to be a state title-winning senior QB. Maryland has pledged his college commitment to the Utah State Aggies.

. With a quick release and great mobility in the pocket, Maryland flashes an almost Kyler Murray-like style of QB play. He thrives at eluding sacks, changing arm angles, and delivering deep balls off his back foot. The highlight tape speaks for itself, showing Kaleb launching balls over the secondary and using his legs to scamper past them. After a junior campaign that saw Maryland compile over 1,000 total yards and 10 touchdowns, I expect the signal-caller to take another step forward in 2025. He is set to commit to either UTEP, Utah State, Louisiana, Texas State, or Marshall later this month.

Kaleb is a poised and tough quarterback who displays qualities you can’t teach. One of the most impressive traits he brings to the table is his willingness to stand tall in the pocket and deliver the football under pressure. He consistently takes hits while completing passes a rare trait in young quarterbacks, many of whom tend to get jittery when the pocket starts collapsing. Kaleb, however, thrives in that chaos.
His timing and delivery are consistently on point. He shows advanced anticipation, throwing to spots before receivers make their breaks, which keeps the offense on schedule. Kaleb doesn’t panic or rush through his progressions. Instead, he shows patience and discipline, working through his reads with maturity. This shows a high football IQ and a strong understanding of coverage.
Although he prefers to win from the pocket, he is a legitimate threat when he decides to run. His speed and burst in the open field catch defenses off guard, and he can flip the field quickly with his legs. However, what separates him is that running is never his first option it’s a last resort after exhausting all his reads.
Kaleb brings a balance of toughness, timing, and athleticism. He has all the tools to develop into a complete quarterback at the next level, and his mental makeup makes him a natural leader under center.
