7 forced fumbles Royal is his name nickel linebacker
Royal is a nickel linebacker who plays with real versatility and impact on every level of the defense. Finishing with 113 total tackles shows he’s heavily involved in run support, but his game goes way beyond just tackling. He plays fast downhill, trusts his eyes in space, and has the ability to work in tight areas where space is limited at the nickel spot.
What really stands out is his ability to create chaos. With 6 sacks and 11 tackles for loss, Royal is not just reacting he’s attacking. Whether he’s coming off the edge, blitzing from the slot, or timing pressures inside, he consistently finds ways to get into the backfield and disrupt timing. The 7 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries jump off the page too. He may not be the biggest, but his play style for sure is big.

Dasean is a high motor linebacker who plays with natural leverage at 5’11 and consistently shows up around the football. He triggers quickly against the run, attacks downhill with purpose, and does a strong job slipping blocks instead of taking them on square, allowing him to stay clean and finish. He takes smart pursuit angles, runs through contact, and brings physicality every snap. In coverage, he’s comfortable dropping into short zones and closing space fast.
