About Devaughn
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Lehi can score quickly and in bunches, and Devaughn is a threat to house it every time he touches the ball. He’s an electric runner with good vision, lateral quickness, and overall speed. He’s an exceptional weapon and is just as effective in the passing game. If Skyridge tries to bring pressure early, expect Devaughn to be used in the quick pass and run game.

Devaughn is an exceptional athlete and is a complete three-down back. He will run between the tackles, shows good contact balance, gets to the second level with ease, and has the speed and burst to get to the edge and hit the runway for home. He is a natural hands catcher and the most complete back in the class. He holds a Power-Four offer, but I expect more programs to get in on him late. He is a player who should hold multiple Power-Four offers and should receive better quality programs coming his way.

Eka has been electric and is the sparkplug to that Lehi offense. He is a complete back who is sensational in the open field and has the speed to finish his runs. He has great lateral explosiveness, added on good size to show consistent contact balance and running through arm tacklers, and he shows great vision to see holes forming behind the line and finding cutback lanes. Devaughn is a fantastic runner and just as effective in the passing game. He has soft hands, and being light on his feet allows him to be used as a running back who runs routes. He’ll continue to garner D1 offers.

Eka was electric last week, and he helped carry the Lehi offense last week. He is too athletic, too quick, and too elusive for most defenses. Mountain Ridge does offer a better defense than their opponent last week, but Eka should continue his hot streak and should get involved more in the passing game. Eka is the most complete back in the class and a premier athlete.

Eka is primed for a fantastic final season. He is an exceptional running back with a three-down skillset. He has good vision and patience behind the line, once he rides the wave and finds the open crease, he showcases his quick burst and the ability to get small through the first level, once he clears that and is at the second level, he displays his acceleration and long speed when he looks to the edge and a runway for home. Eka is far from a finesse player; he’ll lower his pads and finish his runs. In space, he is deadly, and as a receiver in the open field, he is a threat to take it to the house each time. He’s a threat to get 1,500 all-purpose yards and 20 touchdowns.

Eka was explosive throughout the night and made several nice grabs. He is an athletic playmaker that can easily catch outside of his frame and immediately turn up field. He showed his quickness and overall speed by gliding past his man throughout the 1v1’s. Eka is an electric playmaker who will make a Power-Four team happy at the next level. Big year ahead for him.

Eka is an explosive three-down back, shows excellent speed, and will easily get to the edge. He has good lateral quickness and can make the first defender miss. Eka knows when to be patient and will allow his blocks to form and has excellent vision. He isn’t a finesse back, he’ll lower his pads and take on defenders to gain additional yards. Eka is one of the best-receiving backs in Utah and has multiple routes in his arsenal. He easily catches outside of his frame and shows tremendous athleticism weaving through traffic and stopping on a dime. Eka is a mismatch for opposing Linebackers trying to cover him, and he is a willing pass blocker who will take on a defender that outweighs him and does well holding up.
