McClendon added an offer from Weber St. after a strong performance at the Wildcats’ camp last week. The 5’10″/170 defensive back out of Desert Pines has been on the Prep Redzone radar since his breakout sophomore season and has continued to develop into one of the top DBs in his class. Great twitch and agility in man coverage and has shown versatility playing both CB and S for Desert Pines. McClendon picked up his first offer from UNLV last spring.
McClendon claimed the #1-DB spot in Nevada’s 2026 rankings ahead of his junior season with the productive offseason he’s put together. He’s a versatile player in the secondary that made plays from both CB and S spots as a sophomore for Desert Pines. He’s a twitched-up athlete with great speed and change-of-direction in coverage. He’s aggressive as a tackler showing no hesitation flying downhill to close on the ball and can make stops in space. McClendon’s a high-upside DB prospect that just picked up his first D-I offer from UNLV in March.
McClendon has stayed busy this offseason showing his natural skill and athleticism at camps/7v7s and picked up his first offer from UNLV along the way. He’s a fast and physical tackler from the S spot that attacks the ball aggressively downhill with closing speed and efficient angles of attack. He’s shown more of his coverage skillset and ability to matchup 1v1 in his offseason work. McClendon’s stock is on the rise heading into his junior season in the fall.
