About D’Anthony

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical, disruptive defensive tackle who thrives on leverage, strength, and quickness off the snap. I command double teams, plug gaps, and collapse the pocket with raw power and a violent first step. I play with a high motor, use my hands well, and pride myself on dominating the point of attack while freeing up teammates to make plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m relentless, coachable, and built off discipline and drive. I’ve played through injuries, put in the work to transform my body, and always bring toughness to the field. I lead by example, embrace hard coaching, and take pride in outworking people. I’m not looking for handouts. I’m earning everything that’s coming.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead by example and let my work ethic speak for itself. I don’t always have to be the loudest, but when my team needs energy or direction, I step up. I’ve learned to push through adversity, communicate clearly, and earn respect by consistently giving my all.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I played the whole season with a torn labrum. I had to fight through pain every week and still made plays, but I know if I was healthy, my name would already be known. I couldn’t hit camps or show how dominant I really am, so I feel like I’m behind going into my senior year, but I’m ready to prove it all.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I truly fit. A place that believes in my potential, matches my values, and feels like home. I want to be somewhere I can grow as a player, as a student, and as a person and not just be on the roster, but be part of something real.

Davis played an important role on the interior of the Rams’ defensive front in 2024, when they won their fourth 5A state championship in a row. He produced 15.0 tackles, 12 of which were of the solo variety. Davis also was credited with a pair of stops for loss and a sack. His power comes through during his junior highlight video. Getting off of the snap quickly, Davis bursts into his opponent with good leverage and leg drive. He absorbs blocks with his head up and eyes on the target, showing a knack for disengaging at the right time to make a play. Davis has a chance to raise his stock with another step forward in 2025.
