Expert Analysis
Caleb Holfoth | Prep Redzone Scout
Harris is a GREAT addition for the Cortland Red Dragons and the former DIII national champions are getting a player who has the ability to be a dominant player early in his career. With a lot of ball under his belt and has over 3 years of varsity tape and was a four-year starter at center. Harris plays with leverage consistently and showcases the ability to really maintain and finish blocks. Harris has a really good frame and build at 6’2 285 and has consistently been one of the Rochester’s top offensive lineman for several straight seasons.

The steady center was one of the strongest players at the event. He went against some big defensive tackles and Harris overpowered them. He strung together a bunch of reps that resulted in dominance. When the pads came on, I saw how violent Harris can get and he was moving the opposition out of the way without any trouble. Play after play he was one of the most consistent offensive lineman.

is a veteran for Uprep and the center prospect has all the tools to play at the next level. I think Harris at 6’2, 282lbs projects as a really solid FCS player and not many offensive lineman have the combination of power and quickness that Harris has. With multiple years as a starter already Harris is one of the more fundamentally sound players at Center in this class and does not have to rely on his athletic ability to win. Harris is one of New Yorks top OL prospects and could be the best center in this class.

is one of the most refined interior offensive lineman in New York. With two full seasons starting at center under his belt Harris has plenty of tape that showcases his consistency and ability at the position. Harris is really good at using hand placement and a strong upper body to control his engagements with defenders from snap to whistle. Once a defender is in Harris’ control they rarely get out. Harris is one of the more powerful centers in the class where he may not always finish guys to the ground but he has great burst through his initial engagement and can push defenders back 3-5 yards consistently. In pass protection, Harris does a good job of mirroring pass rush moves and uses a strong wide base to effectively hold his ground.

is not only one of the most experience lineman headed into his senior season in all of New York but Harris is one of the most fundamentally sound players in the state. The Center out of UPrep is about as consistent as they come. Harris has incredible tape as a run-blocker, pass blocker, and moves well in space to be a lead blocker. At 6’2″, 282lbs Harris has really great size for the Center position and can either overpower defensive lineman with his strength or move to the second level and stick with smaller players because of his solid athleticism.

is a 6’2” 282-pound C/OT that has a lot of power. He is surprisingly quick and the ability to move out into space on pull action blocks was very impressive. When making contact with a defender, he does a great job of sliding the defender out of the designated running lane. At a consistent level, Harris was able to finish blocks and pancake defenders into the turf. Being able to keep his feet moving, allowed him to drive opponents 10+ yards down the field. He does a great job of finishing one block at the interior level and then moving to the next block at the 2nd level of the defense. In pass protection, Harris rarely gets pushed backwards and holds his ground incredibly well. The ability to slide and help out both guards is a huge strength in his game. The overall body control in his game allows him to be so dominate at the interior of the offensive line. For this upcoming year, Harris has goals of winning a sectional championship and wants to make a deep run at states. Trying to get by this offensive linemen would be a tough task for any defender.Twitter: @HARRISDALLAS223Hudl
