Altogether his game is built on a strong blend of athleticism & technique. At LB, Thomas was able to make plays in coverage and drive through blocks in the run game. Certainly, he showed a good mixture of speed and power at RB. Thomas was a driving force on inside and outside runs. Lowering his shoulder when connecting with defenders and using a powerful stiff arm to gain extra yardage was a big point. Thomas did show value in the passing game, which highlights the versatility he brings.

Last year, Thomas was a standout as he racked up 71 tackles and 2 sacks. Thomas is a physical player that will shed off blocks with force to complete a tackle on the opponent. The athleticism to create turnovers all over and blitz in the A-gap was undeniable. Henceforth, the physically transferred over to the RB position, as he was a huge north-south runner. Bringing the force with lowering his shoulder for extra yardage and stiff arms was evident. Nevertheless, being sent on stretch runs in the red zone was a huge portion.

Thomas was a big reason Eastridge made a run in last year’s postseason, and the two-way athlete will now compete in a higher classification for University Prep.

Thomas was very productive last year, and on tape, you see a good frame at 6′ 180 in his sophomore season with the room to continue that physical development. He plays with a great motor on both sides of the ball and is a prospect who can quickly trend up in these rankings if he continues to develop physically and athletically.

RB makes a lot of sense for Thomas, but if he adds some more weight and strength, SAF or even OLB could be spots for him at the next level.

Thomas was extremely productive for an Eastridge team that made a serious run in the playoffs that surprised many. Thomas only has a midseason film out, but he was a big part of that playoffs run – his midseason film is solid – he plays RB primarily but may end up more of a safety prospect. He plays with great motor and is willing to play the game in a physical and violent manner.

I am going to need to see him live to get a good grasp of his athleticism, you see some flashes of change of direction and speed on tape but there needs to be more consistency in his full speed movements. No doubt a good looking prospect, who was an effective producer at multiple positions.
