It was good to get another in-person look at Schipper after tracking his progress the last few years. He’s continually improved his technique and has become a more consistent performer, as he showed again against Liberty in a 5A first-round playoff game on Halloween night. Schipper did his job much more often than not during a tough loss. The Northern Iowa commitment is athletic and strong already with a frame capable of adding mass without the loss of agility. Schipper could grow into a presence on the inside of the O-Line, but he has a skill set that might work at tackle, too. Either way, he’s an ascending student-athlete with a chance to make an impact on the next level.

Another member of the Warriors’ impactful junior class, Schipper sets up shop at right guard. He looks comfortable whether opening holes for the running back or setting up in pass protection. Schipper’s success is derived from him being an athletic big man. He’s quick off of the snap and plays with good balance, staying up on his toes and not falling back on his heels. His leg strength helps him open holes in the running game and quick feet aid him in pass protection. Schipper fits well at guard, but he has the agility to move outside.
