Griffin Conant | Prep Redzone Scout
An All-State/Conference wideout, CJ Reese CJ Reese 6'3" | WR Thunderridge | 2024 State CO is an absolute pest on both sides of the ball. In his senior season, Reese has hauled in 33 receptions and has developed a nose for the end zone with four touchdowns. As reliable as they come, Reese is also sure handed and rarely has a bad case of the drops. Truly, this young bull is a certified playmaker and will be missed at Mountain Vista.

Reese is transferring over to the Golden Eagles from ThunderRidge and is one of the top receivers in the state. The Golden Eagles had one of the more explosive offenses last season and with the addition of Reese, they look to put themselves over the top. He has an insane catch radius and strong hands when fighting for the ball in traffic. He is a big play waiting to happen and has the speed to outrun defenders when he gets his hands on the ball. He is a player with a high ceiling and will be on a lot of radars this season.

Reese is a big physical receiver that has a lot of speed to go with it, he is a mismatch problem for most corners and will be a receiver to keep an eye on this season. He is a player that is able to get good releases of the line and is solid in his route running abilities. He is someone who will go up and fight for the ball at the high point and pulls down those 50/50 balls. He has shown consistently after he gets the ball that he can make things happen with it, breaking tackles or being able to outrun the DB’s. He can take the top off of the defense and is a big play threat with his vision. He is a player that can help set the edge in the running game as well, blocking the defender out of the play with force. He is one of the top receivers in the state but will need to show his big play ability more consistently this season.
