About Hunter

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am good at filling the gap with speed and strength. I don't shy away from contact, and I have good game knowledge.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Coachable, encouraging, disciplined, and energetic.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play varsity rugby at Valor RFC. I have played in tournaments for Eagle Impact Rugby Academy internationally. I have played for Colorado All-State at the Great Northwestern Challenge. I have participated in multiple high-level 7s rugby tournaments, such as Tropical 7s, NAI 7s, and National 7s. For academics, I have been given an honor roll award every year of schooling.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have captained the Thunderridge Freshmen team, Mountain Lions Youth Football, and Hawkeyes at Tropical 7s. I believe these opportunities have helped me develop strong leadership skills and a strong ability to encourage others. Also, being a middle linebacker, I often call the defensive plays, which helps me communicate with my teammates and therefore have better teamwork.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last year, during football season, I tore my shoulder in the first game while making a tackle. I was out almost the entire season, and it set back my lifts, contact abilities, and overall skill. I did lots of rehab and eventually gained all my strength back plus more, but it was a major challenge.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am not sure yet.
