Next up we have a Top 10 DB in WI. The 5’9″ 170 lbs junior is an All Conference and All Area performer on the back end of the defense for Monona Grove. Watching the tape, the first thing that jumps out is how aggressive Chase is when pursuing the ball and tackling. He is undersized, but you don’t see that be a factor in bringing down the ball. The safety closes quick and runs through his target. Chase also checks the versatility box. We see success playing deep and reading the field and then closing with his speed. The junior also lines up in the slot where he can show off his quick twitch agility and athleticism to change direction and stick on his receiver. Yinko also offers kick return ability as well. The 2025 is ready for that first offer. Check out the tape of the versatile DB.

It sure seems that if I were picking a team MVP from the Prep Redzone Wisconsin Showcase, the Monona Grove Silver Eagles would be a favorite, as they add their 3rd prospect to my growing lists, as we met their 2025 defensive back

midway thru 1v1s on Sunday in Oak Creek. I loved what I saw out of Chase’s rangy ball-tracking ability to take shape as I felt on the couple reps I watched out of him this young man came out of nowhere and used his longer than you would expect strides to show off his sideline to sideline presence. Chase’s burst also showed that his lower body fires up quickly, as we await the testing numbers he showed that with not just his speed, but his downhill motor churns up quickly that we saw in early testing. If you watch the first clip on tape, you will see this last sentence exactly. You can’t let that 5’9 170 pound frame fool you, as Chase plays well-bigger than that and should certainly get some attention this summer at college camps as he’s in my go outside the measureables threeshold and go recruit this young man category.

I have been a big fan of the junior DB for awhile now. He isn’t the biggest prospect at 5’9″ 170 lbs, but he finds ways to effect the game from the safety or slot positions. The junior has consistently shown off fluid, loose hips that allow him to change direction quickly thanks to his explosive athleticism. Stoughton went to the air the majority of the time of offense, so we got to see Yinko in coverage a ton. He showed off good awareness, the speed to cover ground or run with receivers in man coverage. He also didn’t just make tackles. Yinko attacked the ball too and it led to big plays for the MG defense. I think he can be an impact slot corner at the college level. Keep an eye on him and his development over the next year.

The 5’9″ 165 lbs sophomore was a menace on defense in 2022. He lined up at slot corner/OLB on the majority of plays and his speed put him in position to make a lot of plays. Chase also is quick to process plays and react. That gives him an extra step when shutting down plays. Yinko is an effective blitzer off the edge. His speed makes it very hard for an OT to get deep enough to cut him off. Chase also has the range to quickly chase down plays from behind in the backfield. Out in space, Yinko has loose hips, quick feet, and the body control needed to change direction on a dime to get to different spots in his zone quickly. I can’t wait to see the havoc he wrecks on defense this fall.

. Chase stated the day running 4.72 in the 40, 4.50 in the shuttle, and jumping 9′ in the broad. The compact DB demonstrated a short, choppy backpedal that allowed him to transition downhill with ease. I was also impressed with his quick twitch short area agility. It allowed him to keep up with receivers making sharp cuts on short routes. Yinko looks the part of a slot corner. I’ll be watching him closely this fall. He could have a key role on the Monona Grove defense.
