Nic was primarily the 2nd TE for Monona Grove as a sophomore, leading to him seeing action as a blocker most of the time. That is an important part of the position so it is great to be able to give coaches confidence that you can do it successfully and consistently. This summer I hope to see Nic in person because I want to see what he can do as a receiver. I want to see how well he can move around with that steadily growing 6’5″ 210 lbs frame before and after the catch. I want to see how natural his hands are, how he uses his size to his advantage and how he creates separation. I’m so excited for this next year for Nic. I think he can be a massive breakout player.

Monona Grove has a growing passing game led by an up and coming QB talent. To continue to see that passing game grow and develop they will need to see new names step up on the receiving end. The Silver Eagles graduate 4 of their top 6 receiving threats who lined up all over the field.

Someone who I am confident will be able to step up is Nic Busalacchi Nic Busalacchi 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE/ATH Monona Grove | 2028 State WI at the TE position. Nic has a long frame that will be able to hold plenty of size on that frame. I love where he is at athletically. From getting off the line quick and clean to running smooth routes. He also is able to cover ground very quickly. His athletic profile is very fitting for a talented TE recruit. Nic could make a big impact if the team can get him 25+ catches this next season.
