I’m fired up for Diego’s junior season. The situation looks perfect for him as he is the #1 in returning production at the WR position for MG with his 11/290/1. A stat line that demonstrates how explosive of a playmaker he can be with that 26.4 yds/rec average. The tape shows a kid who has the athletic tools necessary for the next level, but I’m even more of a fan of the way he runs routes. He sets up DBs well and makes cuts at the right time to quickly create separation. The kid has the burst to get in and out of route breaks quickly too. Plus he has hands that his returning QB1 will be able to trust. MG is replacing plenty of talent, but they have a good stable of talent returning and stepping up. The expectations should be high for the Silver Eagles.

I’m pumped to potentially see Diego Adame Diego Adame 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR/ATH Monona Grove | 2028 State WI earn a varsity role this fall. Looking through the stats from 2024, Monona Grove returns one athlete who caught a pass and was listed at WR. So the door is wide open for someone to come in and earn a substantial workload. Diego quickly comes to mind as an athlete who could do that. He has a solid frame to continue to grow and build upon. Watching back through his freshman season, Diego’s speed jumps off the tape compared to the field. He consistently was beating angles to the sideline and down the field. His acceleration got him out of situations where it looked like he was well contained. He clearly was a playmaker at the lower level and looks primed for that next step up in competition.

Diego is a gamer! His highlights are filled with him ripping off long runs after the catch and also taking a jet sweep for a monster gain. Diego is very talented after the catch between his ability to see blocks, cutbacks, and also set up defenders. He also has solid top end speed and the ability to make DBs miss at the last second when it looks like they have him centered in their sites. Against athletes his age the ’28 departed himself from the crowd with his athletic and playmaking abilities. I’m excited to see if he can work his way towards a Friday night role this fall.
