Expert Analysis
Zack Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Redd separated himself as one of the best athletes at the LB position in his second appearance at the PRZ CA Showcase on Sunday. The 6’/215 junior out of Chaparral earned MVP honors for a second time with the growth he showed from this past year. He looked improved athletically and more physically developed with more functional weight to his frame. Checked boxes in every session of the camp and will be interested to see how his testing times compare to last year. Totaled 42 tackles and an INT from his OLB spot as a junior. Redd is an under-the-radar prospect that should start to generate some interest this offseason.

Redd was a returning top performer from last January’s showcase and showed great development in his physical skill set and looked like the best athlete among the linebackers. He stood out during the speed drills and is fluid in his movements.

Redd proved why he was one of the top LBs coming into the camp earning himself MVP of the group. Servite’s 2025 LB is a well-rounded defender with a physical build (5’10”/200), workable speed, and good change-of-direction in space. He did a good job of getting his hands on RBs to disrupt the front-end and showed explosive agility driving on routes during the 1v1 period. On tape, he’s physical between the tackles, runs sideline-to-sideline, and packs a punch at the POA. Redd has potential to be a major stock-riser among SoCal’s 2025 LBs heading into his senior season.

Redd’s a promising young LB for Servite that flashed physicality between the tackles and the speed to track sideline-to-sideline as a sophomore. He’s slippery against LBs working up to the second level showing good lateral movement and packs a strong punch at the POA. Redd’s an early candidate to be one of the top performing LBs in the testing portion with the athletic skillset he’s put on tape so far.
