A lot to like about Bancroft with his combination of size, technique, and physicality at 6’4” 305 lbs. He projects as a high-ceiling interior offensive lineman once he lands at Fresno State with the kind of tenacity and explosiveness that coaches covet in the trenches. Fires off the ball with excellent burst and leverage, consistently winning the first step and establishing control at the POA. His hand strike is violent and well-timed, delivering a strong inside punch that stalls defenders on contact and allows him to establish immediate positional leverage. What separates him is how he finishes, accelerating through contact with powerful leg drive and forward momentum. Whether it’s creating vertical movement in the run game or pulling and climbing to the second level he shows good movement skills, coordination, and aggression. His ability to play with low pad level, combined with his explosive first step and ability to sustain blocks makes him a problem for defenders in tight spaces and open field engagements. Collected three offers before committing to Fresno State in early June.

Bancroft had a strong showing at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January and was a top three performer in a group that featured a USC commit and a player with multiple Power 4 offers.

His initial punch at the camp was very good and his film confirms that. He is violent with his hands and is athletic enough to pull and make plays at the second level.

Bancroft also had offers from the University of San Diego and Black Hills State. He is the third player from California in Fresno State’s 2026 recruiting class and the second offensive lineman.

Bancroft has some of the nastiest tape across the region, and is a true mauler that projects as an inside prospect at the next level and is explosive off the ball, has a good inside punch and leg drive through contact and finishes blocks downfield with nasty intentions. He is powerful at the POA, gets immediate vertical push and can pull/block in space to the second level with ease. This week alone he has picked up offers from Fresno State and San Diego and should see other Big Sky and Mountain West schools come in and offer in the next few months.

Making the move this season to Chaparral, Bancroft should find his home inside in college and is a true road grader that can get push up-front and moves well for his size. He plays with good leverage, a strong base and leg drive through contact while able to finish blocks downfield and combo to second level defenders and shows he can pull across the LOS with ease. He is strong at the POA, shows inside hand placement, good bend for his size and flashes some finish downfield when getting defenders back on their heals. He should draw plenty of D3+ interest heading through his Senior season and is a name to note in our WL rankings.

Bancroft did well during the 1-on-1 period and really excelled when picking up twists during the half-line period. He has a good initial punch, doesn’t lean too much and is footwork is solid.
