Mauterer is a true plug and play inside linebacker and one of the top uncommitted small school caliber kids across the state that can play at the next level. He is a true banger in the box with terrific natural instincts, a sure tackler and is everything you would want in a inside linebacker at the college level. He currently has offers to Western New Mexico and Simpson, with other D-III+ schools most likely to offer as soon as the season ends. He is a no brainer multi-year starter at that level and can quickly contribute as well. Last weekend against a tough Pinnacle team, he had 10 tackles and 1 sack, adding to his season totals of 60+ tackles, 8 TFLs, and 5 sacks.
