is the kind of receiver where the more you watch, the more little things start to stand out. The production was there last season — 39 catches for 615 yards and five touchdowns — but the tape shows why there might be even more coming. First off, he is a willing and physical blocker, which is always something I like seeing from a receiver. He doesn’t look like a guy who’s just waiting around for the ball; he’s involved in the whole play. But the thing that really jumped out to me was his release package. He has a bunch of different ways to get off the line, and defensive backs can’t just sit on one look because he is always mixing it up. That makes him a headache early in routes, and then he’s got enough speed to make them pay if they guess wrong. His ball tracking is impressive, too. He finds it quickly, gets himself to the right spot, and can adjust when the throw isn’t perfect. He can be effective in the short game, but he also has the ability to run right by people down the field, which gives him real versatility. With Red Mountain needing to replace a lot of production, there’s some projection involved here, but he’s already the team’s leading returning receiver and has the game to become even more of a focal point.

Windom is a high upside WR that flashed throughout his junior season. Attacking from the snap to the whistle he brings a competitive approach to the position. Quick off the ball with a hard drive phase to close DB’s cushion stressing defenders early in the route and forcing them to transition. Shows good variety of release moves, allowing him to win against both press and off coverage to create clean lines to his routes. Strong ball judgement skills and the ability to adjust smoothly to mid-air ball flight. Strong at the catch point, he’ll flash late hands and make plays on the ball in traffic. Plus route runner that shows good timing and usage of stems and sudden cuts to slip by coverage and avoid contact. Adds value as a willing and aggressive blockers on the perimeter. Good foundational skillset that could translate to the college level.

Airreon Windom showed exactly why he’s Red Mountain’s top receiving threat, putting up a career‑high in yards and getting into the endzone in a performance that kept ALA Queen Creek’s defense off balance. He’s got the blend of speed and body control that makes him dangerous on deep outs and go routes, and his timing with his quarterback was on point as the two connected for explosive plays late that flipped the field. What stood out most was how he found separation — whether it was quick footwork off the line or strong hands once he closed the gap on a defender — and the way he used deceptive stems to sell his deep routes. Red Mountain moved him around the formation to get different looks, and he excelled everywhere they lined him up. It was the kind of showing that proved he’s more than just a vertical threat; he’s a true difference‑maker who can change a game with a single snap.
