stepped in for Red Mountain and immediately made the offense look sharper. In his first start, a 69–16 win over Desert Ridge, he was calm, efficient, and totally in control of the moment. He only needed 11 passes to get three touchdowns, finishing 9-of-11 for 162 yards, averaging 18 yards per completion. That kind of rhythm tells you everything about how comfortable he looked in that system. His mechanics in the pocket were clean — quick feet, smooth release, and that effortless arm strength that jumps off the tape. The deep ball touch stood out, too, putting it right where only his guy could get it. There’s something to be said for a quarterback who can command the huddle in his first outing and make it look this easy, and Carmigiano did exactly that for a Red Mountain team that suddenly looked a lot more balanced and dangerous once he took over.

had one of the tougher assignments of the night — lining up against his former team. That kind of matchup always adds a little extra spice, and you could tell the other side came out fired up, looking to make a statement. But if there were any nerves or emotions on his end, he didn’t show it. He stayed locked in, kept his cool, and just went about his business. What stood out most was how clean his throws looked. He consistently delivered tight, catchable spirals that made life easier on his receivers. Not every quarterback spins it like that. His delivery isn’t super exaggerated or high-effort, which means he’s not going to wow you with raw velocity, but he more than made up for it with timing and touch. He dropped multiple throws right into the bucket. It was one of those performances that might fly under the radar at first, but the more you watched, the more you appreciated just how solid and efficient he really was.

now finds himself in a Red Mountain program that thrives on physicality and toughness — and honestly, that fits him like a glove. He’s got that gritty edge you want in a quarterback. He stands in the pocket, takes hits if he has to, and still manages to keep his eyes downfield. There’s a calmness to how he plays that you don’t always get from guys who haven’t had a full year as QB1 yet. Mechanically, he throws a super catchable ball — it’s on time, it’s got touch, and he puts it in spots where his guys can go make a play without having to slow down or take a hit. What’s especially impressive is how he avoids the big mistake. He’s not afraid to give his receivers a shot on contested balls either. There’s a good balance in how he plays — aggressive, but not reckless. With a full season to grow into a lead role and get comfortable with his new team, Carmigiano could be a steadying force for Red Mountain.

has all the attributes and signs to be a star for this Chandler offense. With an excellent frame, standing at 6’3 180lbs, he has the traits to succeed if given the opportunity this season. Only notching a few stats last season in a blowout game, but went 4 for 4 on pass attempts and had a passing TD in that game, suggesting good things have yet to come. His release and touch on the ball are smooth off his hands, having just the right amount of power and velocity for his receivers to bring in. He displays intelligence and decisiveness with his throws, making the correct reads, which is a vital characteristic to have at the QB position. Heading into 2024 with Carmigiano at the helm of this offense will be a real treat.
