Closing out the top five-ranked quarterbacks is the one player on this list who helped lead his team to a semi-final appearance during the sophomore season. Cooper entered his freshman year as a highly-touted player with even higher expectations. His ability to use his arm and legs to challenge a defense makes him a legitimate game-changer.Cooper is in a situation where the offensive scheme of the Pine Creek program requires him to be more of a game manager than the gunslinging dual-threat quarterback that he is known to be, which shows his ability to be a versatile athlete. Cooper’s overall performance as a sophomore kept him among the top quarterbacks in the class and solidified him as a must-watch player going forward.

Cooper when given the opportunity is an accurate passer and explosive runner. The Eagles playing style is more run based but cooper did have a good passing season with 1,536 yards, 15 passing touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Cooper doesn’t run often but when he does he can use his speed to get on the perimeter and turn it into a foot race. He is a player that looks poised in the pocket and passes accurately on all 3 levels. He will lose his top 2 pass catchers from this year but the Eagles top 2 rushers will be returning. Cooper distributes the ball among his pass catchers but will look to see if someone can standout and build a connection with him making themselves the go to guy.

He has a strong arm and phenomenal playmaking abilities that will give his team an edge in their introductory season. Cooper will arguably be one of the more heavily watched starting sophomore QBs this season because of his potential to be one of the top shot callers in the state.
