coming over from Brighton Middle School this year. Sage was the most elite prospect on Brighton Middle School team that finished 11-0 and Large School State Section Champions. Speedy kid (11.30 100m) with a ton of ability. Look for him to play Defensive Back, Running Back, Wide Receiver and/or Linebacker.

, an athlete at Brighton Middle School. Sage caught my attention during positional drills, proving his ability to shake receivers down the stretch and haul in the deep pass. Sage’s breakway speed also stood out, showing off his ability to blast ahead of his opponent and get open for the long pass.
The first skill position player I noticed while watching Team Fire during the first practice. One of those kids that you can line up at any skill position and he gets the job done. Fresh off an All-County season at Brighton Middle School where he lined up at both Running Back and Wide Receiver, he looked excellent as a pass catcher for Team Fire in the first practice. His lower body strength is what impressed me the most throughout the early practice. If he made a mistake at all, I didn’t see him make the same mistake twice. Took coaching well, was attentive and gave constant effort. During the second practice of the day he also looked good as a Strong Safety. As I noted, he’s a strong kid and almost acted as an additional Linebacker because he came down hill on running plays; Yet, had the athleticism to aid in coverage over the top.
Sage is a two way player on the football field with a three sport background. If you let him get a head of steam off tackle it will shortly turn into a track meet. With his smooth long stride, he eats ups yardage quickly. I love when backs keep their eyes to the horizon and never stop their progress forward. This kid fits the bill.
