Octavius Flynn Jr. was one of my first finds when I started at Prep Redzone over a year ago. He stood out as just a sophomore, but has taken the next step and looks to have another great season in 2026.

He’s a well-built linebacker, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 210 pounds. I would like him to put on additional weight to maximize his potential, but he has time.

Flynn Jr. is very explosive, is an elite tackler, gets downhill quickly, plays with great intensity, can shut down a running game and communicates at a high level.

Octavious Flynn Jr is an up-and-coming linebacker prospect with solid size, a strong frame, and good athleticism.

Those traits allow for him to make play after play and rack up tackles every single game, bursting on to the scene and my radar this season.

He has the athleticism to track down ball carriers, and even has been used as a legit part of the tailback rotation for his high school. As he gets more explosive to complement, he will be an exciting linebacker prospect to know inside the state of Tennessee.

Flynn Jr from Briarcrest Christian jumps out immediately. He’s a highly explosive and electric player who sits at the inside linebacker position, but can fly around the field. He has a nice build, shows plenty of athleticism and is extremely aggressive.

Flynn is one of those guys who can flat-out play ball. He’s a smart linebacker who does his job and doesn’t try to do too much. Aside from the rushing and tackling side, he plays solid coverage, too.
