The class of 2029 is one of the most talent rich that Tennessee has ever seen. When you look at it, they have a plethora of high-level Division I prospects at each position. Now that they've had a full season to become acclimated to the high school game, you're seeing several take that next step.

I'm starting a series surrounding the class, where I scout six prospects at each position to keep an eye on moving forward. Continuing things, we have the wide receivers. This is a group that's loaded with very talented athletes, in more than one way. There's going to be two big-time players missing, but everybody already across the nation knows about them. I am focusing on that next tier in this article.

[player_tooltip player_id='1455068' first='Levi' last='Scott III'] is a dynamic player from McCallie school who is due for a massive blow up on the recruiting trail. He's off to a great start, as the shifty pass catcher holds offers from Ole Miss, LSU and Memphis. He's played well in 2026, which means more are on the way.

He's a compact wide receiver, standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 135 pounds. I'd like to see him add weight to fill out his frame, but the 2029 prospect has time. Even without prototypical FBS size, Scott III is a dangerous playmaker who can do it all.

The McCallie athlete is more of a slot receiver. Even then, he has the athleticism and twitch to get active in the screen game, run routes all over the field and force his way open. Scott III excels in the short to intermediate passing game, but has the ability to get vertical. Once he grows a little bit more, he will be unstoppable.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576784' first='Christian' last='Hulsey'] is an intriguing prospect who hasn't gotten too much usage because of the offensive system, but has shown DI potential at wide receiver.

Hulsey stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds with a nice frame and a good amount of muscle for his age. Obviously, I'd like him to add weight, but he looks good at this stage of his career. He's the epitome of lightning in a bottle and deserves more usage.

Cookeville likes to get him the football in space, where his great athleticism can take over. He's shifty, has that second gear in terms of his speed, is a fluid mover, can cut swiftly and is a strong route runner. Hulsey can also win contested catch battles downfield, a plus.
