There’s a reason the Gainesville Red Elephants were one of the best teams in Georgia last season. They had terrific players all over the field, and Hurt was certainly one of them along the offensive line. A big, physical interior guard to plays with good leverage, Hurt is a max-effort lineman who opened up big running lanes in the trenches all season long. Even while he played alongside several other outstanding linemen, Hurt showed he was a reliable run blocker who also excelled in pass-protection. His junior season was so good that it led to a recent offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. Look for other big offers to keep coming his way.
