Cusick is a player that plays with quickness and flies down to make a play at the line of scrimmage. He will stop a running back in their tracks and brings them down quickly. He is able to read and recognize the play, making a quick burst and attack the ball carrier. He uses his hands well when shedding blocks and gets extension with his strength, being able to see where the ball is going, ripping through and rallying to the ball for little to no gains.
