This safety had a nice evening for Dakota Ridge. The 6’0 180-pound junior had 8 total tackles (7 solo, 1 assisted), TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR. Offerdahl is a hard-hitting safety who comes down in the box and lays the boom to unsuspecting ball carriers. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, change of direction, and acceleration. Offerdahl’s mental processing was on full display. He’ll watch the QB’s eyes and put himself in a position to make a play. One aspect that impressed me was his ability to stay patient. He stays patient, not getting overzealous and jumping a tackle. An example of his good competitive toughness was when the RB fumbled the ball, he was the first one on it. Fantastic prospect.

Offerdahl was the MVP of DBs and with good reason. Offerdahl measures in at 5’11 174 pounds. His combine stats are as follows: 4.89 40-yard dash, 4.26 shuttle, 9’0 broad jump, 7.42 L-drill. He showcased his good athletic ability throughout the drills. During the drills against the WRs, he was sticky like glue. If he got beat, the next play he would compete and come out on top. Shifty DB who uses his length to disrupt passes.

Offerdahl was the MVP for the DBs and was able to be lockdown against some of the top receivers. He showed good feet being able to get in and out of breaks quickly, making a play on the ball. In one on one he was one of few DBs and was able to stay hip to hip with receivers and not lose many battles. In 3 vs 2 he was able to show good vision and come up quickly to break up passes.

Offerdahl is a safety that has some decent speed and can cover his side of the field keeping the ball in front of him coming up to make plays. He has the ability to make a break on the ball and take it the other way, lowering his shoulder and picking up extra yardage. He at times can come up and make a hit on the receiver and dislodge the football. He shows the knack for being a good open field tackler, being able to break down and bring the ball carrier down in a hurry.
