Harper entered the offseason as one of Nevada’s lesser-known defensive backs but has rapidly emerged as a prospect college coaches are beginning to track closely. At 6-foot-2, he possesses the size and length that programs covet at the position, allowing him to disrupt passing lanes and challenge receivers at the catch point. His strong offseason performances have already earned scholarship offers from Gannon University and Minnesota Duluth. With continued physical development and exposure, Harper has all the tools to see his recruitment accelerate over the next year.

Harper brings ideal length for the position, using his frame to disrupt receivers at the catch point. He showed smooth hips and the ability to transition well in coverage. His range and ball-tracking ability stood out during deep-ball drills. As he adds strength, he has the tools to develop into a high-level defensive back.

At 6’2, Harper has the height and length to match up with any receiver. He pairs that with elite speed, allowing him to stay in tight man-to-man coverage throughout the route. Harper reads the quarterback well, showing instincts to jump routes and make plays on the ball. His combination of size, speed, and football IQ makes him one of the top defensive backs in the region.

Harper’s a long, versatile athlete that showed promising potential at the JV level as a freshman for Liberty. He was an explosive-play producer on offense that showed speed and elusiveness with the ball in his hands as both a WR and returner on special teams. He shows good control of his lengthy frame at 6’2”/160 that should present some upside in the secondary as he continues to develop. Harper- now at Bishop Gorman- holds the potential to develop into a future D-I prospect down the line.
