Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the more productive defenders on a loaded state-champion Milton Eagles team, Weivoda has always had Power Four talent and saw new offers come his way this month from Virginia Tech and Cincinnati. The 6-foot- 210-pound linebacker brings good size, instincts, toughness, and the ability to make a secure tackle over and over again. The rising senior made 89 tackles in 2024 to go along with 13 TFLs, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three blocked punts.

Uber-athletic LB prospect with his best ball ahead of him. Rail-thin prospect, listed anywhere between 195-205. Definition of a run-and-chase defender. Spends most of his time standing up off the edge, but is more than capable of sliding back and playing off the ball. 11.59 in the 100M paints a picture of the speed he provides in the middle of the defense. Patrols the field with ease and helps keep the edges of the defense sealed. He arrives at the football quickly when flying to the ball as a blitzer. He has the desired speed/bend profile to win as a pass rusher. He flashes arm over/under moves to free his chest. Will simply need to add more weight to contribute at the highest level, but he has plenty of room to do so. Holds FBS offers. Speed can be the ultimate compensator, and Weivoda has that. Can be an instant impact player on special teams. Worth a gamble for P4 schools given his athletic profile and upside.

Juiced up LB prospect with run-and-chase potential. He clocked 11.5 speed in the 100M prior to his junior season and now hovers around 6’3 200. He is an effective pass rusher and blitzer thanks to his speed. He is explosive off the line and uses his thin frame to shoot gaps and dodge the hands of blockers. He will gradually win out and find his way to the football thanks to his speed. He takes pride in special teams, blocking a handful of punts this fall. Every team needs a fearless pursuer of the football like Weivoda. He is only going to get bigger and will improve as he learns more of the complexities of the position. I think he is a clear P4 caliber LB prospect and I would have a hard time finding a reason to pass up on him.

Billy Weivoda Billy Weivoda 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Milton | 2026 State GA is a new name to me, but he caught my eye early and often. He is listed at a long, thin 6’3 200 and has plenty of room to build. He is super athletic and guns off the edge, violently getting after the QB and striking hard upon contact. His energy was noticeable and he would frequently end up around the QB. From a size and speed standpoint, there’s plenty of reason to keep track of Weivoda, especially as an OLB projection.
