If you want to understand why Centennial’s offense feels like it can just wear teams down over four quarters, you start with Ben Lowther Ben Lowther 6'7" | 320 lbs | OL Centennial | 2027 State AZ . Whenever Centennial needed to settle things down or flip the field against Mountain View, they weren’t shy about running right behind their massive junior tackle. Lowther is exactly what you expect from a line that’s been talked up as one of the biggest and most physical in school history — long, powerful, and surprisingly light on his feet once he gets moving. He consistently caved in edges, pushed back defenders, and created the kind of vertical lanes that let Centennial stay patient with their run game. Even without stat-sheet recognition, you could feel his impact in how often the Coyotes leaned on his side to reset the line of scrimmage.

Lowther is a high-upside guy with great length and athleticism. He replaced his hands well and had a strong initial punch during the one-on-one period.

Massive size at 6’7” 300 lbs. with good balance and weight distribution in his frame. Can overpower opponents and dominate the LOS with sheer size and natural strength. Uses strong hands and good leg drive through contact to create movement and finish his blocks. Engages with good inside hand placement and a heavy initial strike to throw defenders off balance. Takes advantage of his length in pass protection but can also move his feet to mirror lateral movement and stay in front to keep positioning and a clean pocket. Can work to the second level with good footwork and efficient angles. Ranked #12 overall and is the second ranked 2027 OL prospect in the state.

As a freshman, Lowther already possesses ideal measurements for the major D1 level at 6’7” 295 lbs. He’s got a well-balanced frame with good weight distribution between his upper and lower halves. Shows functional mobility and movement skills, can move his feet to stay in front and seal off a defender. He’s got good natural strength that can move defenders off the ball but tends to get too high at times and lose his pad level sacrificing some of that strength at the POA. Like his ability to latch on and sustain his block throughout the play. Picked up his initial offer from Arizona State last month and is a high ceiling prospect that will get more recruiting attention as he develops and progresses.
