Carothers is going to be a kid to keep an eye on, as he does not currently hold an offer- but is much deserving of one. He sizes up with a 6’1″ 170lb frame and plays fast and physical, frequently flying in with a low POC. Good ball skills as well as he’s shown the ability to fight and punch through the hands of opponents or adjust his body in different angles to snag picks. They used him as a Safety in a 2-high look where he seemed to have a great understanding of various responsibilities, and his ability to match up both physically and athletically against either TE’s or slot’s provides him with a big upside. A raw talent with excellent coaching- especially within his position group with coach Billy Carter, get Carothers on your board now as a sleeper to pop off in 2025.

Another transfer into Centennial with high level potential and upside. Flashed his athleticism and fluidity in all three phases as a freshman with Saguaro last season. Projects as a safety right now where he can use his speed and change of direction to cover over the top or close on short/intermediate routes. He’s a tough and physical tackler that drives through contact and brings good thump at the POA. Sees the field well and can diagnose plays quickly to either fill a running lane or drop into coverage. Had a strong spring ball performance that saw him collect three offers from Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Iowa State.
