At 6’1” 195 lbs. Vanden Bosch is one of the most dynamic and instinctive defenders in the state and currently the top uncommitted defensive prospect in the PRZ rankings. A throwback style LB that plays tough, physical, and downhill. He plays with outstanding range and urgency, showing natural instincts that allow him to anticipate plays before they develop. He closes downhill with speed and violence, consistently finishing through contact. Plays bigger than his frame using leverage, balance, and natural strength to shed blocks and make plays in traffic. His athleticism translates well in space, comfortable dropping into coverage or breaking down in one on one open field tackling situations. Displays excellent football IQ and leadership, often directing traffic and adjusting alignments pre-snap. Holds 12 D1 offers with nine of them being from P4 programs.

Bastian Vanden Bosch Bastian Vanden Bosch 6'2" | 190 lbs | DL Brophy College Prep | 2026 State AZ , son of 12-year NFL defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, is an incredible athlete. A scary combination of speed and toughness, he’s all over the field and makes sure the offense can feel his presence in his hits. When Vanden Bosch sees an opening to attack the quarterback, he kicks it into gear and few quarterbacks in the state are quick enough to get away. Finishing his sophomore year with 10.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and three forced fumbles, there’s no telling what he’ll be able to do in the middle of the Brophy defense in his junior campaign. He’s clearly been putting in work all offseason and is going to be a handful for offenses in 2024.

Bastian moves up four spots to #4. At 6’1” 190 lbs. he’s got a great combination of athleticism, speed, and strength. Possesses a well-rounded skill set that transitions well to multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Played TE last year where he showed good hands and ability after the catch. Right now, projects more on the defensive side where he can use his short area quickness and motor to disrupt plays as they are developing at or behind the LOS. Dad, Kyle Vanden Bosch played in the NFL and brother, Case, is also highly recruited. Great growth potential and upside.
