provides a reliable, speedy outlet for Owensboro’s offense. He has a quick first step, which helps him put his opposing cornerback on his back hip. Fountain has also demonstrated the ability to catch the ball through traffic and contact. He’s also a great blocker along the outside, taking his DB out of the play. Fountain’s awareness along the sideline and ability to break tackles were what stood out most to me when evaluating his tape. Fountain received his first offer from Kentucky Wesleyan this summer, and hopes to add more to that list over the next couple of seasons.

Fountain is a player I really liked, as I saw his tape because he started to blossom as the year went on and gradually became a bigger part of the offense. He shows good hands, has a solid release off the line, and can create separation as a route runner. Once his confidence grew, you could see the offense start looking his way more often. He finished with 16 catches for 319 yards and 5 TDs, showing strong production with his opportunities. I think there’s still another level he can reach as he continues to develop.

is another player who saw some varsity action as a freshman and put together some solid film. Fountain lines up at receiver where he is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He has also shown the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. Ayden finished his freshman year with three receptions for 37 yards in six varsity games. Fountain will be another player to keep an eye on as his role continues to grow.

What I like about Fountain is his ability to be a reliable passing target when his quarterback is under pressure, proving he can haul in the short pass and blast into the backfield. Fountain’s catching, his ability to absorb contact and his ability to slip past defenders into the endzone also impresses.
