put together the most impressive two-way showing of the day and made his presence felt every time he had a rep. He was dominant on both sides of the ball, but there’s real upside on the defensive line where his explosiveness and get-off immediately jumped out. He fired off the ball with intent, bringing a nasty edge to his game, and played with violent, active hands that gave offensive linemen problems all afternoon. For his age, he moves extremely well with fluid feet and the kind of athleticism you can build around. Whether he ends up on offense or defense long-term, James has the tools and mentality to be a difference-maker quickly in high school and a future D1 prospect.
