Toomey-Johnson is a powerful offensive interior lineman with the ability to really bend and play with great leverage. He has strong leg drive to create knockback and then has the fluidity to get up to the next level. He is able to mirror and move in pass protection while being able to anchor against the bull rush. The Eagle rising Senior should fit nicely at the IOL position at the next level, and is a true downhill road grader that excels at blocking in the box and wins with power, punch and a low hat at the POA. He has a powerful first step and can sustain blocks downfield, while showing heavy hands and an inside punch with the ability to finish downfield consistently. He plays with violent intentions, and is a high IQ kid in pass protection that plays low to the ground and can blow defenders off the ball with ease. In pass protection, he has patient hands, a strong and wide base and active feet against bull rushers while staying patient up front against stunts and is able to anchor as well. He should draw plenty of interest from the D3 level and is one of the better IOL across the state in this ’25 class.
